Al Kharid is a desert city due east of Lumbridge. It contains many shops and the quest, Prince Ali Rescue, can be started there. attractions include:

- Furnace
- General Store
- Sea Fishing spot
- Plateleg Shop
- Plateskirt Shop
- Scimitar Shop
- Crafting Supplies Shop
- Silk Trader
- Tanner
- Palace Guards for low to medium leveled players to train on
- Al kharid AKA Scorpion mines to the north
Trivia:
- Al Kharid exists in both Runescape Classic(RSC) and Runescape 2(RS2).
- The Scorpion mines contain spawns of both water runes and fire runes, useful for budget minded or just plain broke magic trainers
- The Scorpions can be ranged from outside the chasm for decent ranged experience
- The Silk Trader will sell silk for less to those adventurers with more quest points
- The Platelegs Shop sells Adamant Platelegs which are the best available from Shops until one has access to the Champions Guild
