Rune armour is currently one of the best armours for Runescape Classic. It requires a defence level of 40 to equip. A smithing level of 99 is required to make all rune items. A runite bar is created from runite ore and 8 coal.
Early in Runescape Classic's history, rune armour didn't exist and was later released. The original colour for rune armour was to be purple, but was changed to blue/cyan.
