A Chain Mail Body (also known as a chainbody) is a piece of armour worn on the torso of a player's body. They offer significantly less protection than a plate mail body does. A player can make one using the Smithing skill, or purchase a variety of chainbodies from the shop Wayne's Chains in southern Falador.
Chain Mail Bodies can be worn with gloves.
