A Coal certificate is a certificate that is obtained by exchanging five coal with Giles at Draynor Village market or Jinno at Zanaris or by smashing Strange Barrels. 20 Coal certificates may also be obtained from looting Crystal chest.
Coal certificates are stackable and each one can be exchanged back for five coal by talking to Giles.
Because coal is not stackable and players can only trade twelve items per trade screen, they are often exchanged for certificates so that they can be traded easier and faster.
