Before starting the Tree Gnome Village quest

• Player: hello

During the quest

After agreeing to help Bolren with the quest

• commander montai: hello traveller
• commander montai: are you here to help or just to watch?
• Player: I've been sent by king Bolren
• Player: to retrieve the orb of protection
• commander montai: excellent we need all the help we can get
• commander montai: i'm commander montai
• commander montai: the orb is in the khazard stronghold to the north
• commander montai: but until we weaken their defences
• commander montai: we can't get close
• Player: what can i do?
• commander montai: first we need to strengthen our own defences
• commander montai: we desperately need wood to make more battlements
• commander montai: six loads of logs should do it
• commander montai: once the battlements are gone it's all over
  • Ok, i'll gather some wood
    • Player: ok, i'll gather some wood
    • commander montai: please be as quick as you can
    • commander montai: i don't know how much longer we can hold out
  • Sorry i no longer want to be involved
    • Player: sorry i no longer want to be involved
    • commander montai: that's a shame we could
    • commander montai: have done with your help

After talking on getting some wood, having less than 6 logs

• Player: hello
• commander montai: hello again, we're still desperate for wood soldier
• commander montai: we need at least six loads of logs
• Player: i'll see what i can do

Talking to him having at least 6 logs

• Player: hello
• commander montai: hello again, we're still desperate for wood soldier
• Player: i have some here
• [you give some wood to the commander]
• commander montai: that's excellent now we can make more defensive battlements
• commander montai: give me a moment to organise the troops
• commander montai: and then come speak to me
• commander montai: i'll inform you of our next phase of attack
• (The 6 logs are taken here)

Talking to him again after the Ballista is repaired

• Player: how are you doing montai?
• commander montai: we're hanging in there soldier
• commander montai: for the next phase of the attack
• commander montai: we need to breech their stronghold
• commander montai: the ballista can break through the stronghold wall
• commander montai: and then we can advance and seize back the orb
• Player: so what's the problem?
• commander montai: from this distance we can't get an accurate shot away
• commander montai: we need the correct coordinates of the stronghold
• commander montai: for a direct hit
• commander montai: i've sent out three tracker gnomes to gather them
• Player: have they returned?
• commander montai: i'm afraid not and we're running out of time
• commander montai: I need you to go into the heart of the battlefield
• commander montai: find the trackers and bring back the coordinates.
• commander montai: Do you think you can do it?

    • commander montai: none of the blood spilled on this field will be in vain

Talking to him after agreeing to get the coordinates and before having landed a direct hit on the ballista

• Player: hello
• commander montai: hello warrior we need the coordinates
• commander montai: for a direct hit from the ballista
• commander montai: once you have a direct hit you will be able
• commander montai: to enter the stronghold and retrieve the orb

After landing a direct hit with the Ballista

• Player: i've breeched the stronghold
• commander montai: i saw, that was a beautiful sight
• commander montai: the khazard troops didn't know what hit them
• commander montai: now is the time to retrieve the orb
• commander montai: it's all in your hands
• commander montai: i'll be praying for you

After searching the khazard Chest for the Orb of protection

(Note: Dialogue is said even if the player has lost the orb.)

• Player: i have the orb of protection
• commander montai: incredible, for a human
• commander montai: you really are something
• Player: thanks... i think!
• commander montai: I'll stay here with my troops
• commander montai: and try and hold khazard's men back
• commander montai: you return the orb to the gnome village
• commander montai: go as quick as you can
• commander montai: the village is still unprotected

After speaking with Bolren about the stolen Orbs of protection and onwards

• Player: hello montai, how are you?
• commander montai: i'm ok, this battle is going
• commander montai: to take longer to win than i expected
• commander montai: the khazard troops won't give up even without the orb
• Player: hang in there

After the quest
