The Dragon axe (also called the dragon battleaxe) is the strongest weapon in RuneScape Classic. Wielding this axe requires level 60 Attack and completion of the Hero's Quest. It can be bought from the Heroes' Guild for 200,000 coins or obtained by trading with another player. It has the highest WeaponPower bonus of +76, outclassing both the Dragon sword, which has +72, and the Rune 2-handed Sword which has a bonus of +70. It has the second highest WeaponAim bonus at +70, along with the Rune 2-handed Sword. It is a one-handed weapon, so you may also equip a shield as well for an additional Armour bonus.
The dragon axe was introduced along with the Dragon sword and the Heroes' Guild during first release of RuneScape members content. It is only been available for pay-to-play players. This axe is made of Dragon metal and cannot be made using the Smithing skill. There are no monsters that drop this weapon. Although it is named an axe, it cannot be used for Woodcut. It was later renamed to the Dragon battleaxe to better match its attributes.

Popularity
This weapon is one of the most popular weapons among higher level players in RuneScape Classic. It is favoured by players due to its high WeaponPower and WeaponAim bonuses. It is effective for training, questing, and PKing. Since all weapons hit at the same speed, it is the most effective weapon for players that have the requirements to wield it, and can afford the price.
