The Dwarven Mine is a twisting series of passages housing many different rocks, from clay to adamantite. There are three entrances to the mine.

Ice Mountain entrance[]

The main entrance is on the ridge just south of the Ice Mountain. This area contains non-aggressive level 18 dwarves, as well as Drogo's Mining Emporium, a General Store, and Nurmof's Pickaxe Shop. This entrance is preferred by low-leveled powerminers, as there is an abundance of clay, tin, and copper rocks, and the distance from the bank prohibits effective storage. There are four anvils nearby, but no furnace, so effective use of the anvils requires casting Superheat item. Dwarves inside the mine do have a chance to drop bronze and iron bars though.

Falador entrance[]

The southeast entrance to the mine is accessed through Falador, down the stairs in the northeast building. This area contains several ore types including copper, iron, gold, mithril, and adamantite, but is inhabited by aggressive Scorpions and King Scorpions, making it dangerous for any low-level miners. It is an effective Mining location at higher levels due to the closer proximity to the bank.

Mining Guild[]

Main article: Mining Guild

Located to the far south of the mine is the Mining Guild, which requires level 60 Mining to access, but can be boosted at level 59 with a dwarven stout.

Dragon Slayer quest[]

A seemingly inaccessible room located in the path between the two entrances plays a part in the Dragon Slayer quest. Oracle on Ice Mountain will give a riddle that points to keys needed to enter the room. The keys are: lobster pot, unfired bowl, silk and wizard's mind bomb. Inside the room is a chest with a map piece to Crandor.

Item spawns[]

In the northwest portion of the mine are item spawns of boots, a pie dish, and a bronze chain mail body.

Inhabitants[]
