A Party Hat is a discontinued item that was obtained during the 2001 Christmas event. A random party hat was obtained by pulling a Christmas Cracker with another player. Party Hats do not provide any stat bonuses when worn; they are purely cosmetic.
Party Hats were sold for very small amounts at the time of the event, however, they became increasingly sought after because they are discontinued and rare. Party Hats are now worth millions of coins, and are worn as a symbol of wealth by players.

Trivia[]
- In RuneScape 2, the spelling was changed to "partyhat", and the pink/fuchsia ones were recoloured purple.
- Despite being created randomly, the variety of party hat colours in both RSC and RS2 vary greatly in price. Due to the Great Party Hat Dupe, the pink/fuchsia party hats changed from most expensive to least.
