Fingernails is a quest item that appears in the Watchtower quest. The player can find it by searching the bushes surrounding the Watchtower outside the north wall of Yanille.
The fingernails must be given to the Watchtower wizard in order for him to be able to identify who stole the powering crystals that make the tower operate.
The fingernails are most likely from a skavid, as they are also found in one of the Skavid caves.
