Fishing Bait is an item used with a fishing rod to catch raw sardines, raw herring, and raw pike at "net / bait" fishing spots. Different fish can be caught along a river than at a seacoast. Players need to have at least level 5 Fishing to use it.
During and after the Hero's Quest, fishing bait can also be used with an oily fishing rod in order to catch raw lava eels. Doing so requires level 53 Fishing.
