The Gnome Emerald Amulet of protection is a reward given to the player by Bolren for completing the Tree Gnome Village quest. It provides the highest armour bonus out of any amulet in the game. Some high leveled players choose to equip a dragonstone amulet when attacking monsters, and switching to a Gnome Amulet when being attacked by aggressive monsters, in order to save hits in unwanted fights.
Replacing lost amulets[]
If a player loses their amulet a new one may be retrieved by simply talking to Bolren, who can be found in the center of Tree Gnome Village. Multiple amulets can be obtained by utilizing the drop trick.

Trivia[]
- According to Bolren the amulet is made of same stone as Orbs of protection
- This amulet cannot be equipped by characters with level 1 attack or strength, as completing the Tree Gnome Village quest as required to wield it, grants attack experience. However During the transition period to RuneScape 2, an exploit was discovered which allowed the player to receive the amulet from completing the tree Tree Gnome Village quest in RuneScape 2, and then transfer the amulet back to RuneScape Classic, which avoided the skill requirements associated with obtaining the amulet, a boon for pures at the time
