The Iron Axe is the second weakest axe, slightly better than the bronze axe. It can be used in combat or in Woodcutting to cut trees. No Attack level is necessary for wielding it. Also, no Woodcutting level is required to cut wood with it, making it the best axe available at level 1 Woodcutting. Players can make an iron axe with the Smithing skill at level 16 using 1 iron bar, giving the player 25 Smithing experience.

Players can purchase this axe from Bob's Axes in Lumbridge.
