Jagex Ltd. (originally Meaujo Limited[1]) is a game developer company based in Cambridge, United Kingdom and incorporated on 28 April 2000.[2] It was started by Andrew and Paul Gower, along with their friend Constant Tedder, who managed the business-side of the company. The Gowers' younger brother Ian also joined the company and focused on graphics.
They are most known for being the creators of the RuneScape series, which extends from DeviousMUD to RuneScape Classic, Old School RuneScape, and RuneScape 3. They also developed many other Internet games, large and small, but none were as popular.
