Mithril (also referred to as mith) is a metal made of coal ore and mithril ore, which may be obtained with level 55 Mining. It is a dark blue in colour. Mithril is weaker than Adamantite but stronger than Steel and the non-player-made Black metal. It shares a name with the unrelated Mithril seed.
Mithril rocks and coal rocks can be mined for mithril ore and coal ore, which can be smelted into mithril bars at level 50 Smithing. Mithril bars can be used to smith mithril weapons and armour. Mithril armour and weapons require level 20 in Defense and Attack respectively to wield, whilst 21 Mining is needed to use a mithril pickaxe.
Forging mithril bars[]
Mithril bars can be used for forging as part of the smithing skill. By using a mithril bar on an anvil with a hammer in the player's inventory, mithril armour and weapons can be created. Each mithril bar gives 50 Smithing experience when consumed to make an item.
