Monks of Zamorak are evil monsters dedicated to the worship of Zamorak. They occupy the Chaos Temple and are protectors of the Wine of Zamorak.

Training

Killing the Monks of Zamorak is considered to be a good training method for mid level players who wish to train their combat skills. When fought at the Chaos Temple north of Falador, the monks are located right next to an altar which can be used to restore the players prayer points. The monks are guaranteed to drop a Steel Mace and Bones after being killed, but banking the maces is not encouraged.

Collecting Wine of Zamorak

Players who try to take the wine by any means other than the telegrab spell will be cursed by the monster, and then attacked. The curse lowers the players melee stats by a scaling amount in addition to dealing damage. The wine may be taken without the use of the telegrab spell if all of the Monks are currently slain and waiting to respawn.
