A Net (sometimes referred to as a small fishing net) is the first tool a player uses to start the Fishingskill. It is used for catching raw shrimp at level 1 & raw anchovies at level 15. To use a small net, players must have it in their inventory and then click on a "net / bait" fishing spot. The spots with "net/harpoon" options are for using the big net and catching different types of fish. The spots are unique and require use of the correct net.
It is advised to switch from the small fishing net above level 15 to avoid catching shrimp to maximize experience.
