===Level 40 Attack=== |
Revision as of 21:09, 30 June 2010
Pures are characters that really created their accounts with the intention to PK. Pures keep certain skills high, while keeping others low. Most pures train their stats in a way that lets them 3 hit kill their enemies, making them unable to escape and unable to eat. There are many different kinds of pures, some better for staking, while others are better for PKing.
Based on Attack
Level 1 Attack
These pures use Iron 2-handed Swords to fight. These hardly lose much upon death and are able to maximize their combat stats in strength. These pures are very good for boxing (no weapon, no armor fighting) if the pure has high strength and defense. These accounts often have trouble hitting players with 10 or higher defense. Pure Mages usually remain 1 Attack (and 1 Strength) to keep their combat at a minimum, however some choose to increase their levels slightly to train more easily.
Level 5 Attack
These pures use Steel 2-handed Swords to fight. They are a lot more accurate than pures with Level 1 attack. Sometimes, Mage Tanks will get level 5 attack to make training defense easier, however this increases their combat level by one.
Level 10 Attack
These pures use Black 2-handed Swords to fight. They are significantly more accurate than pures with level 1 attack, or even 5 Attack. Mage Tanks will sometimes get level 10 attack to make training defense easier, however this increases their combat level by approximately 2-3.
Level 20 Attack
These pures use Mithril 2-handed Swords to fight. These have very high power and medium aim, however pures with level 40 attack are a lot stronger, although mithril 2-handed swords are a lot cheaper than rune 2-handed swords. These pures can also use Excalibur, a weapon giving attack stats comparable to that of an Adamant weapon (however, the mithril 2-handed sword is still stronger). Some boxers (No weapon, no armour fights) choose Level 20 Attack over 1 Attack as they are far easier to train and have significantly increased accuracy.
Level 30 Attack
These pures use Adamant Two-handers to fight. The concept behind this type of account is that Rune two-handed swords cost too much to lose, so they use Adamant Two-handed swords instead. This removes the need of the Protect-item Prayer, which increases your combat by 3 levels by getting 25 Prayer.
Level 40 Attack
These pures have the highest potential to 3 hit players of all strength pures. A good trick to hit 1-2 damage higher is to buy Dwarven Stouts from the bar in Falador, then drink them until your attack falls under level 8. You can now hit the dummies in Varrock, meaning you have less hits but higher strength! It is highly recommended that you do this, as you need all the strength you can get.
Level 60 Attack
These pures aren't really that useful. While they are a lot more accurate than 40 Attack pures, dragon swords/dragon battleaxes aren't significantly better than rune 2-handed swords, and while some may argue that dragon swords let you use shields, all you really have to do is switch from a rune 2-handed sword while attacking to a shield when you are being attacked.
Level 99 Attack
These pures are mainly for killing high-levelled mains. Combined with Level 99 Strength, these pures (when they have Level 1 Defense) have a far greater chance of 3-hitting an opponent in battle. These pures usually use Rune-two handed swords or a Dragon sword with an iron kiteshield.
Based on Defense
Level 1 Defense
Most pures will have level 1 defense. Due to these pures' lower defense, they can shift those levels to Strength and hit a lot higher than an impure player of the same level. These pures usually use iron armour in combat.
Level 5 Defense
These pures have a lot higher amount of defense than level 1 defense pures, however they will still get hit easily. These pures use steel armour in combat.
Level 10 Defense
Black armour is the best choice now.
Level 20 Defense
These pures excel at fighting pures with level 1-30 attack. However, 40 Attack+ pures can easily decimate these pures. These pures use mithril armour in combat.
Level 30 Defense
While these pures have a lot lower strength than 1 defense pures of the same level, these pures, when equipped with adamant armour, can block a good percentage of attacks from 40 attack pures.
Level 40 Defense
Runite armour is too much risk for PKing. However, these pures are very good for staking other players as they can block attacks from many attacks. Some mage tanks choose to get 40 defense to stake other players with, as they get a good amount of hits (around 29 is okay).
Level 60 Defense
You can now use dragon armour! But really, the dragon medium helmet only gives 4 higher defense than a rune full helmet, and pures can not use the dragon square shield. Many mage tanks choose to get 60 defense as it provides them with a good amount of hits (49 is good).
Level 99 Defense
The ultimate tank. 99 Defense is usually only used by high leveled mage tanks. Level 99 Defense provides a mage tank with a good 87 hits.
