The Rune 2-handed Sword (commonly called a rune 2h or r2h) is the strongest 2-handed sword and third strongest overall melee weapon in RuneScape Classic. The Dragon axe and Dragon sword are stronger. It requires level 40 Attack to wield. It can be made from 3 runite bars by players with level 99 Smithing, yielding 225 Smithing experience.

In RuneScape 2, due to weapons having different speeds, it is usually only used as a knock-out weapon. However, since all weapons have the same speed in RuneScape Classic, it is commonly used for general combat, particularly to those who don't have access to dragon weapons, or when a shield is not necessary for additional armour points.
