the sheep in the Sheep Herder quest
Sheep are animals in runescape, they can be used as a resource for wool by shearing them with shears by using the shears on the sheep. If you fail to sheer a sheep you will receive a message saying that it got away from you. Wool is used in the quest Sheep Shearer as well as for stringing amulets. These look very cartoonish when you look at them.

Sheep shear

A player shearing a sheep.

Sheep are non-player characters in RuneScape Classic that cannot be attacked. They produce wool by using shears on them. No experience is gained by doing so. Sheep never run out of wool, thus a player can gather wool from the same sheep continuously. If you fail to shear a sheep, you will receive a message saying:
The sheep manages to get away from you!

Wool is used on a spinning wheel to create balls of wool, which in turn are used to string amulets and holy/unholy symbols.
