A Steel pickaxe requires level 6 Mining to use and can be bought for 500 gp from Nurmof in the Dwarven mines. It is also possible to be obtained as rare loot from a Strange Barrel, located inside the Legends caverns. It is the third worst pickaxe available in RuneScape Classic. Mining with it is the equivalent of clicking a rock 3 times with a bronze pickaxe.
