Straven is the leader of the Phoenix gang. His displayed name is simply Man even after the player discovers his true name during the events of the Shield of Arrav quest. His displayed name is simply Man, even after the quest has been completed.
Shield of Arrav and Heros quest[]
- During Shield of Arrav, he tells the player that to join the gang they must kill Jonny the Beard, a member of the rival Black Arm gang, who is carrying a scroll containing Black Arm gang intelligence
- If the player has been accepted into the gang, he will provide them with a Weapons store key. This key will be replaced upon initiating dialogue with him if it is not stored in the players inventory or bank.
- He also gives the player the Master thiefs armband after they recover Pete's candlesticks during Hero's Quest.
