This documentation is transcluded from Template:External/doc.

The External template adds image-links to RuneScape Wiki, Old School RuneScape Wiki, and also a Private server sub-page in the top-right corner of an article. It combines the functions of the previous {{RSW}} and {{2007 page}} templates.

Usage

{{External|rs|osrs|ps}}
{{External|rs=Page title on RS Wiki|osrs=Page title on OSRS Wiki|ps}}

If the page title on the other wiki is the same as on this wiki, use these as unnamed parameters:

  • To add a link to the RuneScape Wiki, use: rs
  • To add a link to the Old School RuneScape Wiki, use: osrs
  • To add a link to the Private server sub-page on our wiki, use: ps

If the page title on the other wiki is not the same as on this wiki, use the above as named parameters, with the value being the correct name: {{external|rs=Different pagename}}

These methods can be mixed, where one wiki uses the same page title as us and the other doesn't: {{external|rs|osrs=Different pagename}}

ps is used to link to "{PageName}/Private server" for information on how the subject differs in popular private servers from the latest official version of RuneScape Classic. The ps parameter doesn't accept values since all such sub-pages should use the same sub-page name.

The order of the parameters also doesn't matter — the output order is always RSOSRSPS.
