Tutorial Island is the first place you go when you first join RuneScape Classic (unless you skip the tutorial by going to Options and selecting the same option). First you select your character's gender and clothing colour. Then you learn the how to use various skills and get some basic items. It is similar to the present-day (as of now the "old" island) Tutorial Island in RuneScape 2. After you leave Tutorial Island, you will appear in Lumbridge.
