When player investigates the flamewall[]

(You look closely at the flames, they seem to form a straight wall.)
(Something about them looks very strange, they look completely supernatural.)
(For example, they seem to appear to come from straight out of the ground.)
Player: Mmmm, pretty!
(You see a white clad figure in the midst of the flames...)
(You see a white robed figure gesturing to you.)
Ungadulu: Please come no closer...the flames will incinerate you.
- How can I extinguish the flames?
  - Player: How can I extinguish the flames?
  - Ungadulu: Please don't try to extinguish...
  - Ungadulu: Yes, douse the flames with water, pure water...foo...
  - Ungadulu: Please, leave now...don't listen to me...
  - Ungadulu: I beg you,leave now, don't touch the flames...

      - Player: Where do I get pure water from ?
      - Ungadulu: Please, leave now...
      - Ungadulu: ...from the above lands...hurry and release me...

After extinguishing the flames[]

Ungadulu: Please run for your life...
The Shaman seems to be fighting an inner battle.
Ungadulu: Go...go now...!
{The apperance of Ungadulu changes}
The Shaman seems to change in front of your eyes...
Ungadulu: Ha Ha Ha Vacu... now you will be my pawn...
The Shaman starts an incantation...

You feel a strange power coming over you...
The Shaman seems to get stronger...
The Shaman seems to return to normal...

Running away after initiating combat with him (prior to using Book of Binding)[]

Ungadulu: Run then....run away....
Ungadulu: Save yourself....
(Strangely, you start to feel better.)

Using the Book of Binding on him[]

You open the book of binding in front of Ungadulu.
A blinding light fills the room...
A supernatural light falls on Ungadulu...
And a mighty demon forms in front of you...
Nezikchened: Curse you foul intruder... your faith will help you little here.
{Fight with Nezikchened starts}
A sense of hopelessness fills your body...
Nezikchened: 'Ere near to death ye comes now that ye has meddled in my dealings...
[If the player try to run:]
Nezikchened: Run like the coward you are, I will return stronger than before.
Nezikchened: Next time we meet, your end will be greet!

Using Holy Water Vial on him[]

(You throw the holy watervial at Ungadulu.)
Ungadulu: Vile serpent...you will pay for that...
Ungadulu: What...what happened...why am I all wet?

Once the demon is defeated[]

Nezikchened: Ha ha ha...I shall return for you when the time is right.
(Your opponeent is retreating)
The demon starts an incantation...
Nezikchened: But I will leave you with a taste of my power...
As he finishes the incantation a powerful bolt of energy strikes you.
Nezikchened: Haha hah ha ha ha ha...
The demon explodes in a powerful burst of flame that scorches you.

Talking to Ungadulu after the defeating Nezikchened[]

Ungadulu: Greetings bwana...many thanks for defeating the demon...
Ungadulu: and releasing me from this dreadful possesion...
Ungadulu: Pray tell me, what can I do to repay this great favour?
- I need to collect some Yommi tree seeds for Gujuo.
  - Player: I need to collect some Yommi tree seeds for Gujuo.
  - [If player already has]
  - Ungadulu: You already have some Yommi tree seeds, use those first..
  - Ungadulu: and let me know how you get along.
  - [If player does not have]
  - Ungadulu: Oh, yes, Bwana...you will be doing a great favour to our people
  - Ungadulu: by doing this..however, you must know that it is a difficult task.
  - Ungadulu: the Yommi tree is difficult to grow. You must have a natural ability
  - Ungadulu: with such things to have a chance...
  - (The Shaman holds out his gnarly old hand and reveals three largish green seeds.)
  - Ungadulu: Here you go...
  - Ungadulu: Accept these with my gratitude...
  - Ungadulu: You'll need to soak them in pure water before planting them.
  - Ungadulu: I notice that you are already familiar with it
  - Ungadulu: to have passed the flaming Octagram.

      - Ungadulu: A good question Bwana...but it is essentially quite simple.

      - Ungadulu: This will help to geminate the seed and begin the growing process.
      - Ungadulu: The Yommi tree is sacred and is also slightly magical.
      - Ungadulu: You need to seek out a patch of fertile earth.
      - Ungadulu: Such places are located around the jungle and should give
      - Ungadulu: the Yommi tree a good chance of survival.
      - Ungadulu: The tree should show some remarkable growth quite early
      - Ungadulu: But will slow down, you may be able to speed the process up
      - Ungadulu: by watering the tree with more pure water, although
      - Ungadulu: it can be difficult to find it.

      - Ungadulu: But it is likely a myth and the source of the spring is buried
      - Ungadulu: deep in the ground with no chance of access.

  - Ungadulu: This will allow you to pass the fire without harm in future.

  - Ungadulu: Just use the Magical Fire Pass that I gave you to
  - Ungadulu: get past the flames...
  - Ungadulu: Then you should be able to find your way out through
  - Ungadulu: the cave entrance that you came in.

After learning the Shallow water has dried up[]

Ungadulu: Hello Bwana, how goes your quest with the Yommi tree?
- I am on a quest to get more pure water.

  - Ungadulu: Well, good luck with your quest Bwana.
  - Ungadulu: You may well find it worthwhile exploring these catacombs.
  - Ungadulu: There is said to be an entrance to the Viyeldi caves.
  - Ungadulu: Which is where the sacred source of the magic pool exists.
  - Ungadulu: Beware though as it is said that the area is cursed.
  - Ungadulu: Anyone who is killed seeking the sacred water,
  - Ungadulu: will forever be sworn to protect it's secret.

  - Ungadulu: It is said that the caves where the stream is located,
  - Ungadulu: are littered with strange remains of a past civilisation.
  - Ungadulu: The dwarves are said to have excavated the area in search
  - Ungadulu: of the source of the sacred water.
  - Ungadulu: Something bad must have happened because soon the area was cursed.
  - Ungadulu: Anyone who entered the area looking for the source of the water,
  - Ungadulu: And who died, would be forver cursed to protect the water...
  - Ungadulu: ...forever...

Ungadulu: Hello Bwana, how goes your quest to find the water ?
- I met a spirit in the Viyeldi Caves.
  - Player: I met a spirit in the Viyeldi Caves.
  - Ungadulu: You did well to come to me Bwana...
  - Ungadulu: As I said, I am an expert in spirits of the underworld...
  - Ungadulu: In most circumstances you should just ignore them.
  - Ungadulu: However, beware as many spirits will try to trick you.
    - The spirit told me to kill Viyeldi.

    - Ok, thanks...

  - Player: The spirit told me to kill Viyeldi.
  - Ungadulu: That sounds very strange Bwana,
  - Ungadulu: I'm glad to see that you didn't comit such a foul act.
  - Ungadulu: I can make a spell that would help you to defeat the spirit.
  - Ungadulu: But I need an item that belongs to the spirit to make it work.
  - Ungadulu: If you have something like that, please show it to me.
  - Ungadulu: And I'll give you the spell.
  - Ungadulu: Beware of everyone in these caves,
  - Ungadulu: I was tricked very easily and was enslaved, as you well know.

Using Dark Dagger on him[]

(You hand the dagger over to the Shaman.)
(The Shaman's face turns pale...)
Ungadulu: This dagger has been made for one purpose only...
Ungadulu: Praise the gods that you brought it to me.
Ungadulu: I can make you a spell with this item which will force the spirit
Ungadulu: to reveal its true self.
Ungadulu: Once activated, you will be able to attack it like
Ungadulu: a normal creature.
(The shaman takes the dagger and gives you a folded piece of paper.)
Ungadulu: Use this spell on the Spirit.
Ungadulu: It will force the spirit to show it's true self.
Ungadulu: And it will also be vulerable to normal attacks.

After killing Viyeldi[]

Ungadulu: Hello Bwana, how goes your quest to find the water ?
- I have killed Viyeldi!
  - Player: I have killed Viyeldi!
  - Ungadulu: Why on earth did you do that?
  - (The Shaman screams at you...)
  - Player: A spirit called Echned Zekin said I had to avenge his spirit
  - Player: by killing Viyeldi if I wanted to get the pure water.
  - (The Shaman puts his head in his hands.)
  - Ungadulu: Bwana, you have been tricked by a spirit !
  - Ungadulu: And you have done the worst thing imaginable.
  - Ungadulu: Viyeldi was the sorcerer who controlled the Hero's who protect.
  - Ungadulu: the source.
  - Ungadulu: The spirits of these hero's are now free
  - Ungadulu: to be controlled by other, more powerful forces.
  - Ungadulu: Most likely the spirit that tricked you.
    - Do you know anything about daggers?

    - What can we do?
      - Player: What can we do?
      - (If player has Holy Force Spell)
      - Ungadulu: You can use that Holy Force spell to try and defeat the spirit.
      - Ungadulu: Come back and let me know if I can help in any other way.

      - Ungadulu: I am not sure at this time Bwana.
      - Ungadulu: Give me a few moments to think.
      - Ungadulu: Hmmm....
      - (The Shaman looks as if he's thinking very deeply.)
      - (The wizened old Shaman hands over a piece of paper.)
      - Ungadulu: Take this spell and pray that you can defeat
      - Ungadulu: this evil spirit before it's too late.
      - Ungadulu: I'll take that dagger from you now! [Even if player does not have one]

(The Shaman looks so excited about seeing you that he is about to burst.)
- Yes, I've killed the Spirit.
  - Player: Yes, I've killed the Spirit.
  - Player: The spirit actually turned out to be the Demon - Nezikchened.
  - Ungadulu: That's truly a miracle Bwana,
  - Ungadulu: very few come out of Viyeldi's caves alive.
  - Ungadulu: And you managed to defeat Nezikchened a second time?
  - Ungadulu: You are truly a legend bwana.
  - Ungadulu: Do you have the sacred water yet?
    - Yes, I've got the water.
      - (See below)
    - What do I do now?
      - Player: What do I do now ?
      - Ungadulu: Well, you should be able to plant the Yommi tree.
      - Ungadulu: And then water it with the sacred water.

  - Ungadulu: Your Legendary exploits are travelling the whole jungle.
  - Ungadulu: How goes your quest to grow the sacred Yommi tree ?
    - I've already made the totem pole.
      - Player: I've already made the totem pole.
      - Ungadulu: This is great news Bwana, you've done really well.
      - Ungadulu: Perhaps we can start to rally our people together now.
      - Ungadulu: And live once again without fear in the jungle.
