Which trees?[]

Level What? Description Notes
1-25 Normal trees These trees can be found in the forest around Draynor Village. Can be combined with Firemaking or Fletching.
25-75 Oak trees These trees can be found in the forest around Seers' Village. You can bank these logs, or immediately use them for fletching.
75-99 Willow trees These trees can be found in the forest around Seers' Village After level 75, you start to get more experience per-hour than from oaks. You can bank these logs, or fletch them, but it is recommend to bank them and start fletching them later.

*Please note that if you're doing this just for experience, then it is recommended you do not bank at all. Any extra logs will be dropped automatically, allowing you to train forever without banking.

Which axe?[]

Unlike in RuneScape 2, all axes can be used for Woodcutting at level 1--you should always use the best axe that you can find. The Rune axe is the best in the game.

Your inventory[]

Your inventory should contain an axe and a sleeping bag. Additionally, you might consider having a tinderbox or knife if you plan to simultaneously train firemaking or fletching.
